About Truck Week

A nationwide celebration of Australia’s heavy vehicle industry.

Truck Week returns in 2026 with a national focus, bringing together businesses, drivers, workshops, manufacturers, suppliers, communities and schools to celebrate the people and innovations that keep Australia moving.

What is Truck Week?

Truck Week is a national initiative showcasing the professionalism, contribution, and everyday excellence of Australia’s heavy vehicle industry. Across one week, workplaces and communities host local events that highlight:

  • People — the teams who build, drive, repair, and manage Australia’s trucks.
  • Safety — the commitment to safer roads, safer workplaces, and shared responsibility.
  • Innovation — the technology, ideas, and solutions shaping the industry’s future.

What’s coming in 2026

For the first time, Truck Week 2026 will be rolled out across all states and territories, coordinated in partnership with national and state-based industry associations.

  • An event registration portal
  • A national event directory and map
  • Logos, templates, and toolkits for hosts
  • Safety and wellbeing resources
  • Media and promotional assets
  • Case studies, fact sheets, activities, and event ideas

How you can take part

Participation can be as simple or creative as you like. Events range from depot BBQs, school visits, and safety demonstrations to conferences, innovation showcases, open days, and community activities.

  • Workplace or depot BBQs
  • Customer or supplier appreciation events
  • Safety demonstrations or toolbox talks
  • School or community open days
  • Innovation or zero-emission demonstrations
