Senator Glenn Sterle has delivered an exceptional statement of support for Truck Week, Australia’s vital heavy vehicle industry and the important work of Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds.
Speaking in the Senate during Truck Week 2026, Senator Sterle described the initiative as “a national celebration of the people, businesses and innovation that keeps Australia moving.”
He highlighted the essential role of the road transport, warehousing and logistics workforce, and praised the practical, industry-specific mental health support being delivered by Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds across the country.

During Truck Week, Healthy Heads’ prime mover, Kenny, visited Parliament House in Canberra, giving MPs and Senators the opportunity to show their support for the people who keep Australia moving.
Senator Sterle was among those who visited Kenny, alongside Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Catherine King, who used the occasion to announce a one-off $2.5 million Australian Government commitment to support the continued work of Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds.
In his remarks, Senator Sterle congratulated Naomi Frauenfelder, Ben Maguire AM and the Healthy Heads team, as well as everyone involved in events recognising Truck Week and Australia’s essential transport workers.
When he visited Kenny earlier in the week, Senator Sterle praised the intent of Truck Week, while rightly pointing out that in his family – and in families right around Australia – every week is truck week.
That sentiment goes to the heart of the campaign.

Truck Week is a national moment of recognition, but the work it celebrates happens every day: behind the wheel, in the workshop, in the warehouse, in the depot, in the factory and in the office.
Truck Week 2026 is proud to stand alongside Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds and industry supporters across Australia in recognising the people, workplaces and everyday professionalism that keep the nation moving.
