TruckShowX conference brings the Truck Show innovation story to life

For generations, the Brisbane Truck Show has been the place where Australia’s heavy vehicle industry comes to see what is new.

New trucks, new trailers, new components, new safety systems, new technology and new ideas have all had their moment on the show floor — giving the industry a first look at the equipment and innovation shaping the future of road transport.

TruckShowX takes that story a step further.

Created as a spin-off from the Brisbane Truck Show, TruckShowX moves the conversation from what is being showcased to how those innovations are being used, tested and implemented in the real world.

As part of the broader Truck Week 2026 program, TruckShowX will bring together fleet operators, manufacturers, technology providers, regulators and industry leaders to explore how innovation is being implemented across Australia’s heavy vehicle sector.

To be held in the Hunter Valley on 18–19 May 2026, TruckShowX is designed for the times: practical, commercially grounded and focused on the real-world decisions facing transport businesses as technology, energy, safety systems and operating models continue to evolve.

Rather than treating innovation as something abstract or distant, the program is built around the people already working through the change.

A key strength of TruckShowX is that much of the conversation is told through the eyes of fleet operators who are already well into the journey — businesses testing new equipment, trialling alternative energy solutions, using telematics and data more effectively, and working through the practical challenges of implementation.

A key strength of TruckShowX is that much of the conversation is told through the eyes of fleet operators who are already well into the journey — businesses testing new equipment, trialling alternative energy solutions, using telematics and data more effectively, and working through the practical challenges of implementation.

That makes the program especially relevant for customers, suppliers and partners across the industry. It creates a space where innovators can sit alongside the people who need to make the technology work in real operating environments — across cost, safety, productivity, maintenance, charging, infrastructure, compliance and workforce readiness.

TruckShowX will also feature a major trade exhibition showcasing the latest in trailer equipment, future energy, telematics, powertrain technology, vehicle charging, safety systems and other emerging solutions for the trucking and commercial transport sector.

The event includes a conference program, exhibition, networking opportunities and a unique Drive Day component, giving participants the opportunity to experience new vehicles, technologies and systems in a practical setting.

For Truck Week, TruckShowX is an important example of the industry’s innovation story in action. It reflects the way modern road transport is adapting to new expectations, new technologies and new pressures — not through theory alone, but through collaboration between the businesses developing solutions and the operators putting them to work.

TruckShowX 2026 is presented by HVIA and the Brisbane Truck Show, with support from industry and government partners.
